I'm with you on this Michelle. Sure, having money can make it easier to be stylish, but it doesn't replace the eye that some people just have. I live in one of the most stylish cities in the world. And even here I've seen some wealthy men and women buying up big in designer stores, who just have no clue about what looks good (normally what they are wearing at the time of purchase is a good indicator). If you have the eye, you can make low-cost items look a million bucks.

For future reference Docs are not a german boot, the sole was designed by two germans but the company is english and always has been. collections are still made in the original factory in the uk and yes you're entitled to your opinion but yes also, they are massive worldwide and are making a huge comeback. the only side effect from trying a pair is you'll want some more hence the many spottings....you brave enough?

Ha! My docs were my pride and joy in the mid 90's, and I finally summed up the courage to donate them to charity last year. I personally think there are many more flattering boots now, so I won't be buying a new pair :-)

Bjorn, I don't mind them so much on men. I do prefer the W+H Dayton Service boots, John Varvatos boots or even the Red Wing boots over DM's, but that's just me ;)

I'd have to agree that Uggs aren't the most fashionable footwear, but being Australian I can't do without them. Mine tend to be house shoes, and make the occasional trip outside when it's really cold, but if I walk more than a few blocks in them my feet start to overheat, and that has me shedding all my other layers which usually results in me getting a cold.
