Kris, I agree with you! The DKNY rubber boots are a great alternative for flat wellies and also Uggs! :) highly recommend.

I am very excited for Christmas! I miss Canadian Christmas traditions. It's a little different in Helsinki but I am trying to bring my Canadian traditions into our house.
Boots are hard to come by here...People wear a ton of hiking type boots or other durable winter footwear. I like your options! I will have to go on a hunt online for these Geox boots.

I own the Geox boots! .... I was pretty embarrassed when i walked through the mall holding a large Geox bag and I'm only 24, but they are definitely amazing boots. Love them. Highly recommend!

I saw the same lady wearing those Tod's yesterday...I think? She looked so cute in a red lumberjack shirt, dark jeans and the Tod's and carrying a big brown leather purse? I actually contemplated getting a pair after I saw her, but figured I would rarely wear them for that kind of money.

I'd have to agree that Uggs aren't the most fashionable footwear, but being Australian I can't do without them. Mine tend to be house shoes, and make the occasional trip outside when it's really cold, but if I walk more than a few blocks in them my feet start to overheat, and that has me shedding all my other layers which usually results in me getting a cold.

Nice bit of research there :-)
